You can search the library's catalog online to find books, eBooks & videos. If you find a print book or DVD you'd like to check out, bring a photo ID to the checkout desk on the 2nd floor of Brown Library.

Books in the Library

Brown Library uses the Library of Congress Classification system for organizing books. Health, wellness, and cancer books have call numbers (a book's location on the shelf) beginning with R.

CINAHL provides indexing for over 2,928 journals from the fields of nursing and allied healthcare. (EBSCO)
MEDLINE
This is the academic version of the web-based PubMed search, but also provides additional full text for nearly 1,200 journals on a broad range of medical topics relating to research, clinical practice, administration, policy issues, and health care services.
Health Source - Nursing/Academic Edition
Provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. (EBSCO)
Consumer Health Complete
Provides content covering all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated medicine. (EBSCO)
Health Source: Consumer Edition
Provides consumer health information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. (EBSCO)
