Welcome to the Faculty Library Services InfoGuide! The purpose of this guide is to familiarize all VWCC faculty with the variety of services available to them through the Brown Library. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us, or stop by the library to say hi!
If you're off campus, all of the library's databases, eBooks, and online articles can be accessed 24/7 by logging in with your MyVWCC username and password when prompted. If you have problems with your login, contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@virginiawestern.edu or (540) 857-7354.
Faculty can use a valid photo ID (such as a VWCC employee ID card, driver's license, or any government-issued ID) to check out items in the library. Faculty are limited to a total of 15 items on loan at any given time. A maximum of 4 DVDs may be on loan at any given time and count towards the overall 15 item limit. Books can be borrowed for a 28-day period, and DVDs can be borrowed for 7 days.
Renewals may be requested in person at the Checkout Desk, via telephone at (540) 857-6941, or via email at library@virginiawestern.edu. Items eligible for renewal may only be renewed once. Overdue items, items on request by another borrower, reserve materials, and DVDs are not eligible for renewal.
