OER Repositories

  OER Commons - A searchable collection of OER resources and tools.

•  MERLOT A curated collection of free and open online teaching, learning, and faculty development services contributed and used by an international education community. Use the search box to find relevant materials.

•  Open Course Library A collection of shareable (OER) course materials, including syllabi, course activities, readings, and assessments designed by teams of college faculty, instructional designers, librarians, and other experts. Maintained by Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.

•  Saylor Academy Open Textbooks A large collection of textbooks from Saylor Academy that are OER.

•  MIT Open CoursewareA large number of open courses are here in everything from Biology to Fine Arts, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

•  Teaching and Learning EconomicsFrom Carleton College in Minnesota, a collection of resources geared towards teaching economics at the community college.

•  Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (COERLL) Based at the University of Texas at Austin, COERLL offers a large selection of foreign language OER.

•  mathispower4u More than 6,000 OER mini lessons in mathematics available.

Free to View (Not Necessarily OER)

•  Academic Earth - A good starting point to find university classes available freely online from schools like MIT and Stanford. You may find good ideas and materials there

•  AMSER: Applied Math and Science Education Repository - Math and Science resources repository specifically for community and technical colleges. Funded by the National Science Foundation.

•  Project Gutenberg - More than 60,000 e-books in many formats, mostly in the public domain and published before 1923.

•  HathiTrust Digital Library - This partnership of academic and research institutions offers a library of millions of digitized books from around the world.
