Archive: Donating Materials

A guide to the historical and archival materials related to Virginia Western Community College.

Archival Collection Development Guidelines

The purpose of the Archive is to serve the institutional research needs of the college and general public by preserving and administering records related to the college and its history. The following types of records and artifacts are collected.

1. Virginia Western Community College administrative records which can include publications, reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, public relations materials and other records.

2. Publications and ephemera related to the VWCC Educational Foundation.

3. Program-related records and ephemera. 

4. Student, faculty, staff and alumni records and artifacts.

5. Graphic productions such as photographs, slides, audio-visual items, etc., that visually present and document the college.

6. Private papers, records and visual materials from individuals with a relationship to Virginia Western  (i.e. emeritus faculty, alumni, community members, former employees).

Make a Donation to the Archive

Thank you for considering making a donation of Virginia Western-related items to the archive. Please keep in mind that materials cannot be accepted without a legal transfer of title through a Deed of Gift. The process is simple, requiring only a signature on the form below.
