Finding Books

You can search the library's catalog online to find books, eBooks & videos. If you find a print book or DVD you'd like to check out, bring a photo ID to the checkout desk on the 2nd floor of Brown Library.

Reserves

The Reserve collection is kept at the Checkout & Reserves Desk on the top floor of Brown Library. Most of the reserve materials are to be used within the library for two hours only. Some materials placed on reserve by instructors may be checked out for a short loan period and used outside the library. Reserve materials include:

  • Textbooks - the library keeps a copy of most, but not all, textbooks on Reserve
  • Books
  • DVDs
  • Geology lab kits
  • Anatomical models- torso with organs, bone box, skull, brain, eyeball, leg, arm, muscle man, and other models used in anatomy lab

You can see the materials currently on Course Reserve using the library's catalog. In the search box, enter a professor's name, course name, course number, or book title and choose the option to search Course Reserves.
